About Ali Weller

Why Ali created the Healthy Power Framework

Ali created The Healthy Power Framework because she had personally experienced abuses of power at work, in relationships, in spiritual communities, and in politics. In her own roles as a leader, teacher, and mentor, Ali has cultivated a deep commitment to leading with integrity. Motivated by a desire to better understand and address abuses of power, Ali studied leadership at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, with a particular interest in power. She developed the Healthy Power Framework through both academic research, interviews, and collaborative piloting of her ideas in workshops designed to test her theories in real life.

Ali’s background

Ali Weller is a climate leadership and environmental behavior change expert, a three-time environmental non-profit co-founder, a TEDx speaker, and currently serves as the Worldwide Environment Lead for Apple’s Values Business Development team, as well as Worldwide Government Lead for Apple’s B2B Training and Programs team. Ali was trained by Al Gore as a Climate Leader in 2018, and in 2020 she helped train 10,000 new Climate Leaders globally. As a courageous leader, she models and coaches growth mindset and learning from failure. She believes teams can build courage like a muscle that strengthens over time, by fostering a culture where it’s safe to make mistakes, and failures are studied and even celebrated for what they teach us about how to do things better, faster, and with increasing innovation.
